Understanding the different vulnerabilities that exist within the connected car system and the risks associated with these vulnerabilities being exploited – is the key to addressing the needs of car manufacturers today when introducing more functions to the current offerings.
A compromised device, once paired with the car system can provide remote access to unauthorized persons/devices that can then take over control of internal systems or manipulate data and present wrong information to the driver. This is only one example of the crucial dangers, that a fatal mistake or oversight may cause. Other areas of vulnerability include over-the-air (OTA) updates, vehicle to vehicle (V2V) and vehicle to infrastructure (V2I) communications.
Our product is software-based and is built with Android OS (Android Auto). We also implement technologies used for multi factor authentication, patch management, proximity, anti-virus detection, secure projection protocol (trusted), and more.
