Cooperative ITS Mobility deployment of Safety and Sustainability Services

Por meio do Compass4D (www.compass4d.eu), estamos instalando o primeiro piloto operacional de sistemas cooperativos na França com a instalação de 22 unidades laterais da estrada (suas estações) conectadas à infraestrutura e 34 unidades a bordo instaladas em veículos. This deployment is done on urban roads in the center of Bordeaux and on inter-urban roads on the ring road of Bordeaux. This operational deployment permits Geoloc systems to propose a complete off the shelf solution to other cities and roads. The application offers 4 services :

GLOSA (Green Light Optimal Speed Advice)

GLOSA is a service which indicates to the driver the optimal speed permitting to have a green light. É muito fácil, quando seu carro estiver a cerca de 300 metros do semáforo, ele enviará o conselho de velocidade em que você deve dirigir para alcançar a luz em verde. Like this, you will consume less fuel, CO2 and your global driving time will be lower. This information is provided through an intuitive smartphone application.

Start/stop idling

Quando o seu carro para em um sinal vermelho e ele está equipado com a opção de partida/parada, às vezes é frustrante ter que reiniciar o motor apenas alguns segundos depois que você parou. Furthermore, stopping the engine is profitable if it lasts more than 7 seconds. Our smartphone application will tell you if it is worthwhile to cut the engine. This will be the case if the time to green is superior to 7 seconds.

Emergency vehicle in approach alert

Quando um veículo de emergência pertencente ao Corpo de Bombeiros de Bordeaux e equipado com abordagens de Compass4D e está em intervenção, ele enviará um sinal de alerta que pode ser recebido por outro veículo equipado pelo Compass4D. An alert message saying that an emergency vehicle is approaching will appear on the smartphone.

Real time road events and incidents

You will receive in real time road events located on the ring road of Bordeaux. The smartphone application proposes 3 views (map view, radar view, proximity event alert).

This application only works with a specific hardware installation in your car which will be provided by most of the car manufacturers in 2016.
